LTML hosted the 7th annual LT MEd showcase on Friday, May 5, to celebrate the accomplishments of the nine graduating students and provide an opportunity for them to share their final capstone projects with faculty members, peers, and friends. The capstone project is a practical application of Learning Technologies in action within a student's chosen field of work or interest. Students shared their unique visions of technology integration in a variety of situations, including the development and implementation of an educational curriculum for students in grades K-5, an online learning application to help preschool students gain phonetic awareness, a community hub site that brings together tools for science educators, an online professional development site for K-12 foreign language teachers, a graduate-level, competency-based curriculum for project management, an online training program for preparing new graduate students to teach and provide instructors with skills to teach online, a case study to enhance program evaluation in a corporate learning environment, an online training course for creating effective online learning environments for cross-cultural learners, and the use of rapid development tools to create a mobile app for a creative maker community.
Congratulations to MEd grads Katie Douglass, Jennifer Herron, Dave Lostetter, Liz Maddy, Esther Joy Maruani, Kenneth Richardson, Kayla Rozendaal, Amruta Warwatkar, and Fan Zheng!
