LTML hosted the 6th annual LT M.Ed. showcase on Friday, May 6, to celebrate the accomplishments of eight graduating students and provide an opportunity for them to share their final capstone projects with faculty members, peers, and friends. The capstone project is an opportunity for students to explore practical applications of Learning Technologies in their own field of work or interest. Students shared their unique visions of technology integration in a variety of situations, including an interactive math ebook for sixth and seventh graders, a design curriculum that is embedded into standard elementary content areas, a dynamic educational platform designed to provide free higher education degrees for nontraditional students, a learning tracking tool that is embedded into learners' web browser, an online course for multimedia production and storytelling, a video game that combines the principles of adventure learning and gaming, an interactive web game for second language learners, and a website that trains teachers for a national education project.
Congratulations to Melissa Aho, Jeff Betchwars, Jerry Brocket, Dave Halvorson, Rui Huang, Selda Kartal, Kareena Kraemer, and Samantha Wilken Klersy.
