Bodong Chen, Assistant Professor in Learning Technologies, embarked on a trip to Asia during October 21 to October 29. During his visit to Beijing, he delivered a keynote for the inaugural MOOC Forum for Doctoral Students attended by 130+ MOOC researchers and practitioners from around China. Titled “Mapping the Terrain of MOOC Research,” Chen’s talk explored the ever-changing landscape of MOOC research and aimed to inspire emerging MOOC research in China.

After a short stay in Beijing, Chen traveled to Manila, the Philippines, for the 30th Annual Conference of Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). Commissioned by the Digital Learning for Learning Network, he lead a half-day pre-conference seminar on Learning Analytics and presented a talk about Learning Analytics in Higher Education during the main conference.
