We are excited to announce that Dr. Bruna Damiana Heinsfeld has joined the Learning Technologies program as an Assistant Professor, starting in August 2024!
Learning Technologies professor Dr. George Veletsianos has been invited to deliver the opening keynote at the 2024 AECT International Convention, taking place October 19-23, 2024. Veletsianos is known for his groundbreaking work in exploring the intersections of digital technology, society, and learning.
Angelica Pazurek, a teaching associate professor in learning technologies within the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, will be a keynote speaker at the 2024 International Conference on Advances in Social Sciences, Education and Humanities (ICASSEH), organized by the International Society for Academic Research in Science, Technology, and Education (ARSTE).

In June 2024, Dr. Hong Shui successfully defended her dissertation titled, “Tackling the Alignment Problem: Design a Learning Analytics Dashboard to Support Teacher Inquiry.” Family members, colleagues, faculty, and both current and former classmates joined together virtually as she presented her dissertation research.

In May 2024, Dr. Catherine (Kate) Clements successfully defended a dissertation titled, “Virtual Exchanges as an Emancipatory Practice.” Family members, colleagues, faculty, and both current and former classmates joined together virtually to support Kate’s research presentation.
The Institute of Educational Policy recently organized a professional development workshop for Greek-speaking teachers and educators focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence in the classroom, it’s current possibilities, and its future potential. The Institute is a research and innovation office that supports Greece’s Ministry of Education. Dr. Veletsianos was one of four global experts invited to contribute to the event, along with Dr. Mangina (Ireland), Dr. Mavrikis (UK), and Dr.
