LT PhD Candidate Catherine Clements presented her multiple works at TESOL International Convention. TESOL International Convention is the largest professional development event in the TESOL field. The Convention offers professional development opportunities to English language educators at all levels from around the world. In the convention, Catherine presented twice with the topics as follows:

• Connecting Classroom, Community and Culture through Sustainability Projects

• Low Resource? No Problem: High-Impact Tech for Any Environment

   

Catherine again accepted an award for the University of Minnesota from the US Department of State/English Language Programs. The award recognized the University of Minnesota as the "Top Producer" of English Language Specialists in 2023.  Catherine have been an English Language Specialist three times for the Department of State. She said "my first two projects as an EL Specialist were teaching virtually, which would not have been possible without the knowledge gained from LT."
