LT's Jolie Kennedy launched a new professional development program, "Online Distance Learning: Principles of Good Practice and Strategies for Fostering Connectedness" within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD). In response to the global movement to emergency remote teaching and learning (Hodges et al., 2020) this program was originally created to prepare CEHD instructors for teaching in a new modality. Based on popularity and positive feedback from participants, CEHD has opened this opportunity to the public.

This seven-week, online bootcamp in online and distance learning is designed for working professionals who want to understand how to design and facilitate online learning experiences that engage learners and build community using the best practices in the field of distance education. This is a non-credit, professional development opportunity. You will earn an elite digital Gold Badge from the University of Minnesota and 35 continuing education clock hours after completing the course.
