ABRTE
Research in the Teaching of English just published its annual annotated bibliography of selected empirical research studies as well as titles of other related studies and books published between summer 2013 and May 2014. A large group of scholars from around the world (including LTML associate director Cassie Scharber) engage in this collaborative effort in order to locate, abstract, and share the most relevant and rigorous research pertaining to the teaching of English. Cassie Scharber, Amy Stornaiuolo (University of Pennsylvania), and Kathryn Allen (C&I literacy PhD student) compiled the abstracts related to, and tagged “Digital/Technology Tools” that focus on, topics such as social networking, digital reading, literacy definitions, etc. This year’s bibliography, in addition to previous bibliographies through 2003), are available for free on the National Council of Teachers of English website.
