LT’s Cassie Scharber and C&I’s Cynthia Lewis contributed an article in the new SAGE Encyclopedia of Out-of-School Learning.

"The SAGE Encyclopedia of Out-of-School Learning documents what the best research has revealed about out-of-school learning: what facilitates or hampers it; where it takes place most effectively; how we can encourage it to develop talents and strengthen communities; and why it matters.”
This article shares insights about engagement within technology-mediated learning that Scharber and Lewis have explored in their collective research with public libraries and community-based programs as well as schools.
