Last week Cassie Scharber coordinated a team from Minnesota to participate workshop in Chicago that was sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The goal of the workshop was to help teams of researchers and practitioners develop stronger ideas and proposals for NSF’s grant competition: Computer Science for All Researcher Practitioner Partnerships (CS for ALL: RPP): NSF 17-525 program solicitation
Workshop attendees represented the Austin Public Schools, Roseville Area Schools, and Saint Paul Public Schools, and the LT Media Lab at University of Minnesota. The schedule for the two-day workshop can be viewed here: http://www.cs4allworkshop.org
The workshop was a valuable experience. Our team was able to learn more about each other’s interests related to K12 computer science education; share strategies, experiences, and ideas; and brainstorm possible partnerships and projects related to computer science teacher and curriculum development.
LTML is looking forward to continually building research and practice partnerships across the state!
