Learning Technologies professor Dr. George Veletsianos has been invited to deliver the opening keynote at the 2024 AECT International Convention, taking place October 19-23, 2024. Veletsianos is known for his groundbreaking work in exploring the intersections of digital technology, society, and learning.

The AECT International Convention is the premier global forum for educational professionals to exchange knowledge and best practices on the design of instruction and innovative approaches to learning. This year’s conference is particularly special as it marks 100 years of AECT’s leadership in the field of educational communications and technology.

In his keynote, Veletsianos will address the topic of Technology, Imagination, and Education Futures. He will discuss how we might be able to envision brighter education futures, how technology might (and might not) support those efforts, and how these efforts require educators, policymakers, and researchers to let their imagination run wild and break free of constraints.
