A new article on MOOCs by LT PhD candidate Jolie Kennedy has been published in the Journal of Interactive and Online Learning

. The publicity surrounding massive open online courses (MOOCs) overshadows the lack of academic research about it. Kennedy’s study applies a systematic review of research using a within- and between-study literature analysis situated within the context of online teaching and learning. Results reveal varied definitions of openness, barriers to persistence, and two distinct pedagogical approaches.
