We traveled from Galiwin’ku to Cairns today, where we met with Paul Chantrill and others from the Wet Tropics Management Authority, Moni Carlisle of the School for Field Studies, Doon McColl of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority, and Campbell Clarke, an author of the book From the Heart. From Cairns, we drove 4.5 hours to Townsville, where we’ll overnight before continuing on tomorrow to Trafalgar Station, a cattle ranch south of Charters Towers.
