Supplies and School Visit

Still in Qik – we headed to the Enterprise this morning to pick up 5 gallons of white gas and 2 bottles of Polar Bear Spray. Next, we had our Auyuittuq National Park safety overview and orientation over a conference call (a very serious and exciting discussion!). We visited the school and worked with teachers and students on the earthducation0 and the What is Climate Change to You (WCCY) projects. Thanks to all the teachers, students, and school principal! We will be visiting the school again tomorrow and will be packing up the pulks tomorrow night as we are leaving for Akshayuk Pass first thing Friday morning! More info on our expedition departure tomorrow. . .

A special thanks to Brad Hosack at the University of Minnesota who is now updating this site as we prepare to leave. We will continue to have daily updates during the expedition (weather permitting), so stay tuned!!!
