Completed Expeditions
To date, the Earthducation team has completed 3 expeditions. In 2010, we completed a preliminary expedition across Baffin Island (Nunavut, Canada) in which we pulked 130 miles between two Inuit communities: Qikitarjuaq and Pangnirtung. We worked with elders, teachers, and students in both villages and documented their beliefs on education and living with the land. In January 2011 we completed Expedition 1: Africa as we traveled more than 1,000 miles across Burkina Faso (western Africa) and interviewed 35 individuals, including kings, elders, government officials, teachers, students, and the public. In August 2011, Expedition 2: Norway was completed. The team explored the climate hotspot of northern Norway and spoke with environmentalists, K12 and university teachers and students, politicians, and fishing industry leaders. Join us for our next adventure - Expedition 3: Australia!
